Scraps Blog Hop - Day 2

Welcome to the Scraps Blog Hop... If you came from Jackie http://jackrabbitscrappin.blogspot.com/, you're in the right place. If you just happened upon my blog and would like to play along, start at the beginning at http://www.craftycardgallery.blogspot.com/
The purpose of this hop is to help you use up some of your scraps. I'm sure you've got your fair share - I know I do! You'll see 30 talented crafters coming up with unique ways to use their scraps. Some may share tips on how they store their scraps as well!

Be sure to visit all the blogs and leave comments, as there will be a grand prize, a $50 credit to the Designs on Cloud 9 store, http://www.designsoncloud9.com/ sponsored by Michelle of Designs on Cloud 9. To win the grand prize, you must comment on and become a follower of all the blogs.

For the complete list of the hop please go to the post below.

Today I have done a project that used up most of my boy scraps from my kids album pages and cards I have made. I have used a page insert from the Quickutz Santas workshop Wintergreen album to complete the project. It starts of as a banner, which will be hung in my youngest son's room. When the year has finnished and the banner is complete I can make an album out of it using the cover from the same album set!. The idea behind this was so that my son can see pictures of himself each month growing and also be able to look at them himself (with help so it doesn't get ripped mind you) by being able to take the picture out of it's pocket.

Here are some photos of the finished project......

This was such a fun project and a great way to use up some of my scraps. The only thing that was not scraps was the album pages which was cut from white cardstock.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects and have had fun hopping along. Please view the blog below if you did not have a chance to hop along yesterday, if you did then it's time to hop back to Madison

wow, I wish I would have done this for my daughter. I did a scrapbook, but a banner would have been cute to see throughout the year! Great job. :)
