For the complete list of the hop please go to the post below.

Today I have done a project that used up most of my boy scraps from my kids album pages and cards I have made. I have used a page insert from the Quickutz Santas workshop Wintergreen album to complete the project. It starts of as a banner, which will be hung in my youngest son's room. When the year has finnished and the banner is complete I can make an album out of it using the cover from the same album set!. The idea behind this was so that my son can see pictures of himself each month growing and also be able to look at them himself (with help so it doesn't get ripped mind you) by being able to take the picture out of it's pocket.

Here are some photos of the finished project......

This was such a fun project and a great way to use up some of my scraps. The only thing that was not scraps was the album pages which was cut from white cardstock.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects and have had fun hopping along. Please view the blog below if you did not have a chance to hop along yesterday, if you did then it's time to hop back to Madison

Now onto the fun stuff...I have taken photos of my scraps! I admit I hate wasting paper and am a scrap hoarder. My scraps are put in one of four places depending upon their size!

Firstly I have draws that are in colour order and are any paper that is wider than 2" and the exact length of 12"..these i can then use as scraps for my borders in my scrapbook pages, or continue to use easily for base cards/embellishments/scrapbooking backgrounds.

Secondly I have a box full of 4x4,6x6,6x4,6x2 and 6x8(yep you guessed it I dont waste a thing!) These are cut to this size as they are ideal for mini albums, cards and fit all my metal dies perfectly.

Thirdly..and no picture but I have a box of 2x2 squares for all my 2x2 metal dies.

Lastly and final a box of what i call "scrap scraps!" that does not fit into any of the above sizes including basic embellishment cuts i did not use for a project.

so that is my scrap collection LOL!

I have two projects to share with you this weekend. The first is a card and the second .....well you will have to come back and visit tomorrow and see!

This is the card I made. Using a scrap from my large 12" draws i made a card base, then using strips from my scrap scraps i made like a patterned paper and cut it using Quickutz cardmakers limited edition set to create the background. The cheeky monkey, leaf and embossed background square were all hiding in my scraps scraps stash so I used them. Added Twinery twine and a rub on the the leaf! This was such a fun and easy way to use up my scraps and the possibilities are endless using this technique.

Be sure to visit tomorrow for my next project. Until then hop along to Madison at http://funkycards.blogspot.com/ to see her creation.
